The Problem
Research shows that over 1million children in Kenya do not attend school even though if it free. This is because most parents in slums and rural parts are not able to pay for the non-free items required of the children in school.
Drop- out rates have also been reported to be very high, due to poverty, mental health issues and peer pressure.
